Spartanburg police have released a composite sketch of a man they say robbed a business on Southport Road last week.

Officers went to Carolina Family Services at 115 Southport Road for the report of an armed robbery around 6:20 p.m. Oct. 12. A woman told police a man came into the business and demanded money. After being told there was no money there, the man grabbed a number of items and ran away, according to an incident report from the Spartanburg Police Department.

The woman told police the man had pointed a handgun at her head while he was there, the report states.

No arrests have been made.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man responsible. A composite sketch was released Wednesday.

He is described as wearing a blue graphic T-shirt with white lettering and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

Those with information about his identity are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
