Following wildly successful collaborations with Carine Roitfeld, Jil Sander, and Lemaire (to name just a few), Uniqlo announced a collab with British designer JW Anderson earlier this year, and fans of both brands have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. The collection will finally be up for grabs today starting at 9 p.m. EST, and — no big shocker here — it’s really good.
The 33-piece capsule includes many of the quirky design elements JW Anderson is known for, like plays on proportion and colorful graphic stripes, while staying true to Uniqlo’s functional aesthetic and super-accessible price point. Prices are nowhere near JW Anderson’s typical range, with accessories starting at $19.90 and the most expensive items, a tweed coat and a plaid-lined trench coat, coming to just under $150. Most things are somewhere in the middle, hovering around $30–$40.
Key women’s pieces include a herringbone tweed coat ($149.90), colorful striped sweaters (from $39.90), graphic T-shirts ($14.90), and down puffer jackets — including one in a great plaid print — fully equipped with Uniqlo’s beloved Heattech ($99.90). Beyond that, you’ll see high-waisted trousers, denim, asymmetrical skirts, and ruffled blouses to round out the rest of your closet.
There’s also some great stuff in the men’s section, like cable-knit sweaters with sleeves in contrasting colors ($39.90), plaid Oxford shirts ($29.90), and a quilted wool-blend jacket ($99.90).
Like most of Uniqlo’s coveted designer collabs, we expect this collection to fly off the shelves; the least expensive items, like a graphic short-sleeved shirt for $14.90 and a very JW Anderson padded tartan tote bag for $29.90, might be the first to go. Check out more of our favorites below, and shop the full line here starting tonight at 9 p.m. EST or in stores starting on September 22nd. Note, it won’t be available in every store. Here’s the store list to see if your local Uniqlo will carry the collab.
